Well, I haven't updated in over two weeks, because to be honest, nothing much has even happened. A friend of a friend has turned into a best friend in a matter of days and my favourite song has changed, yet again to Pendulum-Blood Sugar.
Well, my niece and nephew were here from Sunday 16th May to Wednesday 19th. Nathan, my 9-year-old nephew, was sleeping on the floor in my room, snoring and fidgeting, so for the first part of this week I've had barely any sleep, probably about 5 hours in total, therefore I've been grumpy lately. But anyway, on Monday after school Nathan, Me and Mum went down to the beach at low tide with fishing nets. There's always this spot we know about, where, stuck in a waterless crack in the cliff above a rock pool, there's always some kind of Shanny fish in there. Normally we would attempt to poke it out and it would take hours, but on Monday I used a different technique and the 6inch fish was out in two minutes. Proud.
On Tuesday I got to skip compulsory after school PE because I had a, ahem, "doctor's appointment" (I didn't really). This meant that I couldn't go surfing like I was supposed to, because I had to be back at 2.50 instead of 3.50. Instead, me and all the other skivers got to sit in a corner of the field watching the fit guys play golf, whilst listening to music, eating sweets and throwing a tennis ball around. It was sunny and warm, so this was definitely my favourite ever PE lesson. We were going to go back down the beach to try and catch a fish again, but Nathan was at school until 5 and Mum was going swimming at 7. Oh well.
Wednesday, we took the kids back to St Austell and stayed round my sister's for a while, with her hyper-active Jack Russell and antisocial, evil cat. My niece had a cold, my sister had a cold and I was extremely tired, so that day, I caught whatever it was they had and couldn't stop sneezing/coughing.
I didn't go to school on Thursday because I was even more ill than I was yesterday. Instead, I sat in the lounge watching movies all day (Pirates Of The Caribbean, New Moon and Knowing, to be precise). That was a good start to the day, until me and a good friend had a little bit of a fall out and they kicked off, oops.
No school today, even more ill. Probably, more movies, a nice long bubble bath and some Jubbly's. Oh yeah, I'm having a Jubbly phase at the moment.
And the BEST part of the week? When my sister was up in London, she stayed with my cousin, Sarah, who owns an 11 month old Basset Hound puppy which they are going to get rid off because nobody wants it. Louise (my sister) said it's the cutest puppy she's ever seen. Apparently it loves cuddles, will play fetch, has sad puppy eyes, does what she's told and she can#t understand why they don't want it. She said that if she didn't have her cat or dog then she would have taken it home with her to save it from the home. Anyway, to the point... when we went round there on Wednesday, she said: "If you or anyone else wants it, then tell Sarh because I can't stand the thought of it going to a kennel" so I asked Mum if we could have it. At first she said no, and then with some persuading, she said: "Alright, but you and Dad sort everything out". HOORAH! But don't get your hopes up too high, me and Dad both suck at organising things and I don't want to be the one phoning Sarah to ask we can have her dog. But anyway, I have to sort it out by Tuesday. Eek.
